Also, the Chinese permanent representative to the United Nations, Zhang Junjun, stressed that the terrorist organizations continue to control Idlib Governorate and threaten the neighboring regions, which requires continuing to combat terrorism in Syria until its final elimination.

Zhang stressed that resolving the crisis in Syria must adhere to its unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity, and that the political process must be led and owned by Syria in accordance with Resolution 2254 without any external interference.
