With a joint letter addressed to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, by their permanent representatives in United Nations, 8 countries demand the lift of the sanctions.
Russia, China, Iran, Venezuela, Nicaragua, North Korea and Syria, call for the lifting of the coercive unilateral measures in this period of the Coronavirus crisis. They ask the ending of these illegitimate measures and the guaranteeing of equality and coordination among the countries in times where the global health is in danger because of the Coronavirus .
These eight countries recall the United Nation’s General Secretary, to ensure the basic infrastructure and equipment needed by the health sectors in order to be able to provide health tests and medical treatments, food and services to everyone without any exception.
